Positive Kids USA

Community Service

Why Volunteerism?

  • Young people involved in community service are more likely to have a strong work ethic as an adult.
  • Youth who volunteer are three times more likely to volunteer as adults.
  • Eighty-one percent of Americans who have volunteer experiences when they are young give to charitable organizations as adults.
  • Young people are key agents for social change, and are providing the energy, creative ideas and determination to drive innovation and reform.
  • Volunteerism is an important, and increasingly popular, mechanism for young people to bring about positive change in society, and it is becoming more and more relevant as a mechanism to engage young people in global peace and sustainable human development.

What Will We Do?

  • Feed the Homeless ~ ALL of Positive Kids will participate in feeding the hungry at The Atlanta Union Mission on the third Sunday of each month.
  • Food Distribution ~ At the end of each Positive Kids Market, we will distribute thousands of pounds of food to the community.
